I have been trying to 13 years to find a really good hair stylist in Hamilton, Ontario and surrounding cities. I'm really not that picky. I just want someone that can highlight my hair so it isn't brassy, yellow, gold or red. I hate looking like we didn't leave the bleach on long enough. Also, I really like to be foiled and for it to be done in small amounts but with a lot of foils. I like for my highlights to really blend.
Then there is the subject of my hair cuts. Why is it so hard for the stylist up here to deal with my extremely straight, fine hair. I have a lot of hair, but it is very silky fine and you can't get a crook in it no matter how hard you try. If my hair isn't cut well, it will just lay on my head, flat and lifeless. I like it when the stylist understands how to texturize my hair. When my hair is texturized correctly, I have body and bounce and swing.
For years, I have kept my hair very short and spiky and wild looking. Not a bad look, but I am ready for a change. I have been growing my hair out for many months and finally the sides are at the bottom of my ears. I want a short, layered and stacked bob that just comes to my jawline. I have my friend's brother coming over this week to cut my hair. I don't mind paying for a good haircut and if he does a good job, I will go to him if it means travelling up to 100 kms.
I will let you know how it turns out. Please keep your fingers crossed for me! I need this "pick-me-up" hair cut!
